How EcomGrow collects, uses and protects information across our website, our Shopify apps and our agency services.
Who we are
EcomGrow LLC ("EcomGrow", "we", "us") builds Shopify apps (GrowCart, ProfitDesk, QuoteRise, HaggleFlow, SheetBridge and Binwise) and provides design, development and growth services to e-commerce brands.
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit ecomgrow.co, install one of our apps, or work with us as a client. EcomGrow LLC is the data controller for website and client data, and a data processor for store data we handle on behalf of merchants.
Information we collect
When you visit our website
- Contact details you send us through forms, such as name, email, company and project details.
- Basic usage data such as pages viewed, referring site, browser and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics.
When you install one of our apps
- Store details provided by Shopify: shop domain, store owner name and email, plan and locale.
- Store data the app needs to work, limited to the Shopify access scopes you approve at install, for example products, orders, customers or draft orders.
- Usage events inside the app, such as settings saved and features used.
When you become a client
- Contact and billing details, contracts and project communications.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain and support our apps and services.
- To reply to enquiries and send project updates.
- To send product and billing notices. Marketing emails are only sent with consent and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To measure and improve performance, fix bugs and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use store customer data for advertising.
Shopify customer data
Our apps access your customers' data only when a feature requires it, for example showing a quote request in QuoteRise or an offer in HaggleFlow.
We support Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. When a customer asks a merchant for their data, or asks for it to be erased, we respond to Shopify's customer data request and redaction requests. When you uninstall an app, we delete your store data within 48 hours of Shopify's shop redaction request.
Sharing and subprocessors
We share information only with service providers that help us run EcomGrow, such as cloud hosting, email delivery, error monitoring and payment processing. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement and may only use the data to provide its service to us.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the US or the EU. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Data retention
- App data: kept while the app is installed and deleted within 48 hours of uninstall.
- Enquiries: kept for up to 24 months, then deleted if no project follows.
- Client and billing records: kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually 7 years.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.
If you are a shopper at a store that uses our apps, please contact that store first. They control your data and we will help them respond.
To make a request, email support@ecomgrow.co. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our website, apps and services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps and services change. We will post the new version on this page and, for material changes, notify app users by email or in the app.
