Every app you install adds a script, a bill and a support inbox. How to audit your Shopify app stack and keep only the tools that pay for themselves.
Growing stores collect apps over time. Each one solves a problem, but together they slow the storefront, overlap in features and split support across many vendors.
1. List every app and what it costs
Include the subscription, any usage fees and the time your team spends managing it. Note which apps load scripts on the storefront.
2. Measure the speed impact
Test key pages with and without each storefront app. Scripts that load on every page for a feature used on one page are the first to review.
3. Remove overlap
Several apps often cover the same job, such as upsells, discounts or reporting. Keep the one that fits your workflow and remove the rest, including leftover code.
4. Prefer apps that share data and design
Tools that share a design system and data model reduce setup, keep the storefront consistent and give you one place to ask for help.
The EcomGrow suite covers the cart, offers, B2B quotes, profit reporting and catalog sync with one design system and one support team.
